Z Hovak To Curate Crypto Art Gallery At DTLA Film Festival Premiere Party

LOS ANGELES | Sept. 15, 2022 –  Downtown Los Angeles FIlm Festival will make history September 15-17 for merging the film industry with the NFT community with a pop-up NFT gallery at SAS Movie Studio, 1755 N. Main St. in downtown Los Angeles. The exhibition will be curated by Quantum Pop Artist Z Hovak,  a Los Angeles based Pop Artist with a background in the film industry as a costume designer.

“My  passion is art and my purpose is to be the voice for animals.” says Z Hovak. The gallery will feature works from 10 NFT artists including, Loudsqueak, Lola Menthol, Modernist NFT and David Bianchi who all come from diverse backgrounds and their work is backed by a purpose. Each artist is carefully curated by Z Hovak to represent the unique voices in art and culture on the blockchain.

Loudsqueak is a talented digital artist who loves to explore the threshold between 2D and 3D.

Lola Menthol is an animator, illustrator, musician, model, and actor who has curated many shows in NYC to provide a platform for herself and other underground artists in her circle.

Modernist NFT is a digital art project on the Ethereum Blockchain paying homage to Picasso Style and the Modernism, Surrealism and Cubism Art School.

The exhibit and launch party will take place at SAS Movie Studio, a local independent film production studio, as part of a week-long series of activities hosted by DTLA Film Festival, which will screen more than 100 films of all genres with a focus on diversity at Regal L.A. LIVE “We’re thrilled to partner with SAS and Z to bring crypto art to the public,” says  festival Co-Founder Henry Priest says, “NFTs are revolutionizing the entertainment industry and enhancing the fan experience of film. I believe that Z and her diverse group of artists will showcase how these two industries mesh so well. ”

This year’s film festival will host the world premiere of sci-thriller “Catalyst,” produced and co-starring David Bianchi,  who is also  a globally celebrated NFT Artist. He was recently nominated by NFTNow as one of the world’s top 100 influential NFT creators. “I chose to invite Z because of her care for crypto art, her sense of diversity and her admiration amongst indie NFT artists,” says Bianchi.
